FAQ

How do I book onto a class or workshop?

Booking onto a session in our What’s On section couldn’t be easier. Head to the event you want to participate in, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the blue “Add to basket” button. The button will then turn green. Next, head to the top of the page and you will see your basket in the top right-hand corner. This will show the amount you currently have in your basket. Click into your basket and you will be asked to either login or register an account with us in order to check out. Once you have done so, you can input your payment details and your booking confirmation will be emailed to you.

How do I make an account?

In the top right hand corner of our homepage you will see the words “Log in/register”. Click here and follow the instructions.

Can I buy in person?

Yes you can. Our Reception is open Monday - Friday from 9am until 5pm (subject to staff availability) and can take card payments or cash. Alternatively, give us a call on 01242 254321 and we can take payment over the phone.

Where are you based?

We are in the centre of Cheltenham, close to the Town Hall and 100yds from Rodney Road car park. There is free parking after 6pm in the surrounding streets.

If you are walking from the town centre, make your way to the Town Hall and with the building behind you, turn right, walk across two roads and you will find The Isbourne tucked down a side alley (Wolseley Terrace) 30 yards from the traffic lights. There is a board on the pavement outside the front door.

Our address is: The Isbourne, 2 Wolseley Terrace, Cheltenham GL50 1TH

What happens if I can’t make the session/workshop?

If you are unable to attend, for whatever reason, please give us a call on 01242 254321 and we will be happy to assist you. We can’t always give out refunds, but we will try to be as fair as possible.

What happens if the tutor has to cancel?

Events cancelled by The Isbourne are fully refunded or payments transferred if appropriate. You will be notified by email.

Do you have parking?

There is no parking outside the building but Rodney Road car park is 100 yards away and there is free parking on the surrounding streets after 6pm. We advise using public transport where possible.

How do I get to you?

If coming by bus then alight as close to the Promenade as you can. Make your way to the Town hall on Imperial Square and with the Town Hall behind you, turn right and walk across two roads and you will find The Isbourne tucked down a side alley (Wolseley Terrace) 30 yards from the traffic lights. There is an Isbourne board on the pavement outside the front door.

Do you have disabled access?

Unfortunately no. The Isbourne is situated in a Grade 2 listed building meaning it is very difficult to get permission to add appropriate disabled access. We are aware of the issue, though, and are looking at all our options.

What is the different price structure?

As a wellbeing and educational charity, The Isbourne aims to make its courses and workshops accessible to all regardless of income. We have researched how other organisations fund their courses and come up with a three tier pricing system:

Supported rate: this fee is less than the Standard and allows anyone with financial challenges to still participate. You do not have to show proof, this is offered on trust.

Standard rate: this is how much we would like all participants to pay as it covers The Isbourne costs and supports the tutor.
Sponsor rate: this is a little more than the Standard fee and allows you to subsidise and support others who might not be able to pay the Standard fee.

You choose what tier of payment best suits you - no questions asked!
