Bowen Technique

Developed by Australian Tom Bowen, the Bowen Technique is a gentle touch therapy where the therapist applies gentle rolling movements on specific parts of the body, interspersed by short breaks. His work was verified by the 1975 Victorian Government Inquiry into alternative health care professions. The Bowen Technique works on a deep cellular level, encouraging the body to repair and heal itself, whilst simultaneously bringing about a state of deep relaxation. The Bowen Technique may be used for a variety of disorders for instance musculo-skeletal problems, back pack, sciatica, allergies, stress, menstrual issues, digestive problems and others. And because it is so gentle, pregnant women, infants and children can also benefit.
