An enlightening talk and demonstration about the phenomenal possibilities of yoga, with the opportunity to try out the postures for yourself or simply watch and learn. You already have the gift of insight - there are no exceptions. So, what clouds your vision? Ruth has devised powerful techniques to enable you to dispense with these clouds, using yoga to help you tap into the intuitive power within us all.

This is a practical talk in which you are invited to try the postures. Ruth will demonstrate, and you can either watch or join in. You don’t have to be fit, just give your body your full attention and learn how to lift your spirits. 

Yoga is good for everybody, from the earliest years right through to full maturity and old age. It’s also infinitely adaptable. Yoga teaches that we all have inner resources of wisdom - when we practice yoga these are released, and we are able to use them. 

Yoga is holistic, as every part of the body is worked on in each posture and we are working on all three bodies simultaneously - body, mind and spirit. When this is brought about, we enter a state of sattva. This is a composed quiet state where we are still in mind yet full of energy, wide awake yet relaxed - you might be aware of the state when you come out of savasana and it can last long after savasana has finished.
