Clive Osborne

The most common approach to conflict is to hope it will go away, and most of us are reluctant to take the most effective route to resolving a dispute – talk to the other person. In this informative session Clive brings together insights from his experience as a mediator, a teacher and a journalist to explore how simple conversations can head off damaging conflict and build stronger relationships at work, at home and in the community.

Although the issue of working with conflict may be of interest to everyone, this session is aimed at sole traders or self-employed people who routinely deal with customers, suppliers, staff and other business owners.

Participants will consider standard responses to conflict, with a focus on win-win collaboration, and will explore a range of practical approaches proven to support positive outcomes. You’ll leave with the knowledge of a range of easy-to-use tools and insights designed to help reduce conflict in practical situations.
