IN-HOUSE: CHRISTMAS CRAFTING

Vicky Jones

An opportunity to enjoy some Christmas crafts, creating a winter artwork with collage and pencils. This can be savoured for yourself as a seasonal decorative piece, or used to create gift tags. A chance to explore your creativity, appreciation of the festive season and make something that will bring joy to you and others.

Materials are provided: Magazines, scissors, glue, pencils, pastels, graphite sticks, paper and erasers, but do bring your own if you want to use particular brands or added extras. Leaves etc. for inspiration but if you’ve got some specimens great! Sorry, no paint!

These workshops are an opportunity to cultivate your creativity, trying creative practices with the resources, direction, inspiration and encouragement provided. Finding time for you is difficult; this is a prompt and portioning to help you explore and experience the benefits of working with your imagination and hands! With a supportive tutor and fellow participants, a friendly and relaxed atmosphere facilitates positive wellbeing and a chance to do something for you!

Using Nature as inspiration for the subject matter and expression, looking at things such as leaves, flowers, light, landscapes and wildlife, the session will help you appreciate the seasons, outdoors and simple pleasures. The element of contemplation and observation supports gratitude, mindfulness and grounding. Cultivate your creativity, experience the benefits of using your imagination and hands, and learn skills of observation, representation and expression.

This is open to anyone interested in creativity, from new to advance. It is an opportunity to try using a media with the materials, guidance and inspiration there to free you from any inhibitions and cultivate your creativity, whether hidden or budding. Learn a creative practice, exploring the materials and techniques used to make a piece of work that can fuel your imagination and future creativity. If you want some time for you, a sense of expression, relaxation, mindfulness and play, a creative workshop is the perfect solution!

The Isbourne is asking all those attending in-house classes and events to please bring their own refreshments as we are unable to supply any for the foreseeable future.

Drop-ins can not be accommodated at this time so please book in advance.

Please note: The Isbourne operates a minimum number policy. This means that if our minimum number is not met 24 hours before the session is scheduled to run, then we reserve the right to cancel the session. If you have paid a set fee for the cancelled session, you will get a full refund. Donations are non-refundable. We, therefore, advise customers to secure their place as soon as possible to avoid any disappointment. The Isbourne’s minimum number policy is under the guidance of the tutor running the session. Thank you for your understanding.

As a wellbeing and educational charity, The Isbourne aims to make its courses and workshops accessible to all regardless of income. We have researched how other organisations fund their courses and come up with a three tier pricing system:

Supported rate: this fee is less than the Standard and allows anyone with financial challenges to still participate. You do not have to show proof, this is offered on trust.

Standard rate: this is how much we would like all participants to pay as it covers The Isbourne costs and supports the tutor.
Sponsor rate: this is a little more than the Standard fee and allows you to subsidise and support others who might not be able to pay the Standard fee.

You choose what tier of payment best suits you - no questions asked!
