IN-HOUSE: BREATHWORKS MINDFULNESS FOR STRESS

Suzanne Thomas

The focus in mindfulness is on the here and now. Too often we get into habits of overthinking, worrying about the future or regretting the past, adding to our present difficulties and causing us stress.

The Mindfulness for Stress course offers you skills and tools to cope with stress, to better navigate life's events and ultimately boost your happiness and well-being.

On this course you will learn:

  • The skill of meditation
  • Mindfulness and self-compassion skills in your daily life
  • Greater concentration and focus
  • How breath and body awareness can transform stress
  • Supportive mindful movement practices
  • The art of taking joy in simple pleasures
  • How to overcome your ‘negativity bias’

The course will run across 8-weekly, 2 hour sessions. Each week will include several guided mediations, exploration and discussion, mixed with short weekly teachings.

If you are curious about learning new practices, open-minded, and can come with a beginner's mind, then this is a lovely opportunity to learn new skills in a safe environment. This course helps you transform your relationship with stress, thoughts and difficult experiences as well as reconnecting with joy and a zest for life.

No previous experience is neccessary. This course is suitable for all levels whether you are trying mindfulness for the first time or are an experienced meditator looking to deepen your practice.

Once you have booked your place on the course your contact details will be passed to Suzanne who will contact you to complete a short registration form.

Please note this course is not suitable for those with severe mental health conditions or in difficult life circumstances such as bereavement. As a wellbeing and educational charity, The Isbourne aims to make its courses and workshops accessible to all regardless of income. We have researched how other organisations fund their courses and come up with a three tier pricing system:

Supported rate: this fee is less than the Standard and allows anyone with financial challenges to still participate. You do not have to show proof, this is offered on trust.

Standard rate: this is how much we would like all participants to pay as it covers The Isbourne costs and supports the tutor.
Sponsor rate: this is a little more than the Standard fee and allows you to subsidise and support others who might not be able to pay the Standard fee.

You choose what tier of payment best suits you - no questions asked!
