A BEGINNER’S GUIDE TO REFLEXOLOGY CPD: 10 hours
Are you curious about the ancient healing powers of reflexology and would like to learn enough to treat family and friends?
Reflexology is much more than just a foot massage - the pressure points stimulated on the foot are directly related to different parts of the body. This course will teach you some of the fascinating history behind this popular therapy as well as showing you how to use the five key techniques used in treatments.
This Quality Endorsed course will introduce you to the 10 energy zones of the foot and how they correspond to the rest of the body. You’ll learn about reflexology techniques, simple aromatherapy and how to work with base oils, as well as exploring the importance of client care. This is an experiential, fun course with lots of opportunity to try out your new found skills on others. It is not a formal qualification but it will give you enough knowledge and skill to practice on family and friends.
You will learn about:
- the history and development of reflexology
- working with base oils
- practitioner care
- when not to use reflexology on someone
- reflexology techniques
Tutor Cathy Bebbington was voted ‘Reflexologist of the Year’ in her class at Gloucester College and has her own private practice at Leisure @ Cheltenham.
