Featured Guest Speaker - Margrit Coates
Animal Magic - Will Gethin previews renowned animal healer Margrit Coates's talk for the next Isbourne Open Day on Saturday 11th September
Margrit, widely considered to be the world's leading animal healer and communicator, is the author of five acclaimed books. She is highly sought-after worldwide for consultations, lectures and workshops and has taught at the Open Center, New York and at Southampton University, England, where she has lectured to postgraduate animal behaviour students.
Margrit Coates's work is unique because, as well as directly communicating with the animals that she's consulted about, she is also a powerfully gifted healer, and so is able to connect them with healing energy too.
Her ground-breaking books on healing and communicating with animals include Healing for Horses, Hands-on Healing for Pets, Horses Talking and Connecting with Horses. She is a founding partner in a clinic offering natural therapies for pets and horses and is passionate about helping people understand animal sentience, how pets communicate with us, and the benefits of healing energy for them.
In her inspirational talk for the Isbourne Centre Open Day in September, Margrit will explain what healing therapy for animals is, how it works, and how everyone can do it. Sharing fascinating true stories, she will demonstrate that healing energy can be safely given to pets and horses of any age and for any condition.
'As with people, giving healing to animals complements conventional medicine by treating the whole person - mind, body and spirit,' Margit elucidates. 'Animals are very responsive to healing and the effects can be very powerful. The energy system we connect to for channelling healing energy is on the same wavelength as interspecies communication. Therefore when we practise healing, we also enhance our animal communication skills.'
The process of giving healing to animals raises our consciousness, Margrit says, which helps us to become more aware of the interspecies communication system we are also part of, but too often ignore. Animal healing is a gateway to discovery about the universe and its mysteries, and practising it helps us connect with pets at a much deeper level, hugely strengthening the bond between us.
Margrit's work has been praised by many leading lights in the field of animal healing:
'Margrit beautifully helps us see who the animals truly are ... not just our brothers and sisters, but as she so poignantly puts it, "angels in disguise". Through her heartfelt stories she guides us to understand the depth of who they are. They are not only our best friends but our best teachers, role models, protectors, and healers.'
Carol Gurney, author of The Language of Animals; 7 Steps to Communicating with Animals and founder of the Gurney Institute of Animal Communication
'I see the time coming when animal communication and deep reverence for nature will become the cultural norm. It must, or we are all in trouble! Margrit Coates creates a sound path for us back to what we have known in our hearts all along.'
Susan Chernak McElroy, author of Animals as Teachers and Healers
Margrit Coates lives in the New Forest National Park of southern England where her organic garden is visited by many different bird and animal species.
