Sound Healer
James has had a varied career as a musician (pianist, organist, composer), music lecturer and tutor in higher education, writer on music and sound therapy, and a healing sounds workshop leader. An American from New York, James has resided in the UK for the last 22 years. His career continues to be balanced between working as a sound therapist, as a performing musician and as a published composer. Over the last 12 years James has developed therapeutic sound and music workshops called 'Soundspirit' which are the result of his research into sound healing practices, his study of self-actualising psychology, the practice of sacred Sufi movements and his initiation into Reiki healing. He has appeared at all the leading venues in England and Scotland as well as undertaking engagements in Ireland and the Isle of Man. He has been invited to present at events like the Findhorn Visionary Voices conference and the Mystic & Scientists annual conference. More recently he toured the USA and presented at the International Sounding Healing Conference (Santa Fe). He is the author of two books: Healing with the Voice and The Healing Power of the Human Voice. He holds a PhD degree from New York University and both Master of Music and Bachelor of Music degrees from the Manhattan School of Music (New York). His sound healing work has been endorsed by the leading figures in the field, including Don Campbell, Jonathan Goldman and Joshua Leeds. CONTACT: |
